Real Media recently spent a few days on location shooting a TV spot for Phiten-USA in Pittsburgh, PA. It was decided that Pittsburgh provided the best opportunity to shoot Joba Chamberlain before the MLB All-Star break.
Our DP Ken Brown found an incredible location about 2 miles from the Pirates Stadium to shoot the spot.
The spot features Joba throwing balls against a brick wall with a batter drawn with chalk. We literally had about 2 and a half hours to shoot all of Joba's shots. We were cranking. We
had crew of 10 people on location to pull it off.
In the same day we shot some kids inside of an old firehouse. They react to the ball as it breaks through the brick wall. We had an awesome day and Joba was fabulous to work with. The spot is running on the YES network in New York. We finished t he spot just in time to run during the All-Star break in New York.
