It's been a year now since we purchased our new building in Overland Park. Since October of 08 we have been remodeling the building and updating a the studio area and infrastructure.
Here are some pictures from our new digs.
Above is the conference room, reception area and of course the espresso bar. We really don't go to Starbucks anymore.
Studio V is the audio production studio in the building. It features a state of the art Protools system with a control room and booths that were engineered and built by a Nashville engineer. The studio is outfitted for 5.1 mixing and can handle virtually any kind of recording project. We love this room!
The Studio kitchen was recently completed and is fully functional with Jenn-air appliances. The kitchen is equipped with a gas cooktop, double oven, microwave oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. It's ready and available to be booked for shoots immediately. For more information or if you would like to schedule a tour of our new facility, please don't hesitate to call. (913) 894-8989. There will be more facility pictures coming soon.
Real Media recently completed work on a project that highlights the start of 2009 season for the Kansas City Chiefs.
The projects features Country Music star Trace Adkins on camera narrating through images of Chiefs history and past stars. The project signifies a new start for the Chiefs with new GM Scott Pioli and new coach Todd Haley.
The final video includes 3D modeling, rotoscoping, compositing, motion tracking and detailed VFX work.
Trace Adkins was shot on green screen at the Real Media studios in Kansas City. The team at Real Media rotoscoped over 20 shots for the project in After Effects. A 3D stage was created and motion tracked into Arrowhead stadium in 3DS Max. The final finishing and sound was completed on AVID and Protools.
The project is currently being shown as a :30 second spot and as a 2:00 presentation for the Chiefs website. You can see the web version atwww.kcchiefs.com
Real Media recently completed a project for author Julie Garwood. The project is a book trailer to help promote her new book "Fire and Ice". The project brought several challenges. We had to create environments that were impossible to shoot in. Our VFX team created arctic environments, scenes in downtown Chicago and elaborate urban scenes. We did this with compositing, 3D design and camera tracking techniques.
Here are some the original shots and the final composites.
Real Media was recently awarded the contract to produce all of the HD video vignettes for the brand new Kansas City Royals Hall of Fame Museum located in the newly renovated Kauffman Stadium.
The finished project will be comprised of nearly 2 hours of HD content on everything from Ewing Kauffman and the history of the storied franchise to the 85 World Series and much more.
The production process has already begun. To date we have already shot interviews with Willie Wilson, Art Stewart, George Brett, Frank White, Fred White and Denny Matthews. There are some great story lines developing as well as some great inside scoops on some of the most historic moments in Royals history.
HD Kiosks will be located throughout the Museum and will take visitors through Royals history with compelling interviews, highlights and stories about the organization, players, managers and fans.
We are very proud to be chosen for such an important project not only for the Royals, but for Kansas City. More to come on this project.
